Cheese loaf

Ingredients:

230g self raising flour

1 tsp mustard powder

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

55 g margarine

115g 1057 cheddar grated

Salt & pepper

1 egg & 140ml whole milk mixed together

1057 cheddar to sprinkle on top

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180C (fan oven).

Add the flour and spices together in a large mixing bowl and mix together.

Rub the flour mixture together with the margarine until you have a breadcrumb type consistency. Add some salt and pepper.

Add in all of the grated cheese for the loaf. Mix the egg into the milk and pour into the flour and cheese mixture and mix well until well combined.

Add all mixture into a greased loaf tin and press down lightly.

Bake for 35-45 minutes and sprinkle some extra grated cheese on the top as soon as the loaf is out of the oven. Leave to cool. Remove from the tin and serve.

Enjoy with chutney and cheese or other delicious toppings.
