Children In Need to benefit from inaugural Millbrook Dairy “Tuk Tuk” Challenge

Millbrook Dairy, the fast-growing cheese and butter business founded in 2019 by David Evans and Kevin Beer, has announced plans to travel from its headquarters in Bideford, Devon to the Orkney Islands in Scotland, on a Tuk-Tuk (sporting a giant wedge of cheese on the roof), to raise funds for Children In Need.

Co-Founders and Directors of Millbrook Dairy Company, David Evans and Kevin Beer, plan to visit the major UK cheese producers in England, Wales and Scotland along the way, starting with Parkham Farms just nine miles up the road, and finishing at Kirkwall Creamery on the Orkney Islands.

The trip, which the team plans to complete in nine days during September this year, will include 22 stops and a total of 1386 miles.

At each visit, David and Kevin hope to meet the owners and some of their team and have the opportunity to taste and grade their cheese. The team plans to film the whole trip and post social media updates and contact local media after each visit, so followers can follow their daily progress.

The Tuk-Tuk will be fully Millbrook Dairy Company branded and be highly recognisable as it traverses the country.

Kevin Beer, Co-Founder and Director at Millbrook Dairy Company, said:

“As we celebrate five years of Millbrook Dairy this year, we wanted to do something different and something where we can give something back and so our crazy Tuk-Tuk idea is now going to happen. It will be an incredible adventure.

“We are extremely excited about our trip; we know it’s going to be a real challenge for us, but it’s going to be great fun too. If the trip goes well, we may do another one next year – maybe across France, Italy or even the USA.”

David Evans, Co-Founder and Director at Millbrook Dairy Company, added:

“We are hoping to raise significant funds for Children in Need which is an amazing charity that helps fund thousands of projects in every corner of the UK. Our family and friends are really excited to sponsor us, and we are confident some of our wonderful suppliers and customers will support us too.”

The Tuk-tuk team has set up a JustGiving page (https://bit.ly/MillbrookTukTukChallenge) to raise funds for Children in Need.
